Goodwick United v Merlins Bridge | Pembrokeshire Football

First against second, two of Pembrokeshire's biggest footballing rivals, and an absolute cracker of a game!

Merlins Bridge dominated much of this top-of-the-table clash, taking the lead through an Aaron Bacigalupo penalty, but Goodwick United showed exactly why they're such a formidable side. With goalkeeper Nick Jones producing several outstanding saves to keep them in the contest, Goodwick's quality eventually shone through when Will Haworth grabbed a dramatic 92nd-minute equaliser.

And incredibly, Goodwick could easily have snatched all three points in the dying moments!

A thrilling 1–1 draw, fiercely competitive football and one of the best Pembrokeshire League matches I've watched in years. A fantastic advert for our local game, and an absolute pleasure to photograph! 📸⚽
